Tricks and Treats!

October was full of Tricks and Treats.  I'll start with the tricks.  We are creating lots of new things to take to our new house in 3 weeks!
We took this fence and turned it into:
This bedroom set!  It has a headboard and foot board too.  (Braden's trick)
And this!  (My trick)
And this.  I did lots more, but I won't show them all.  (more of my tricks)
Another of my tricks!  I found a free couch and use the cushions and a zebra shower curtain to make this spill-proof foam kiddie chair!

And of course Brysen's new tricks!  This kid is so easily entertained.  He laughed at this for at least 20 minutes.  And he can crawl now!  Yay!  And he loves his exer-saucer.
And he has 5 teeth, but I can't get him to hold still... so you get to see 2 of them :)

Brylee's new trick is that her hair is long enough for french braids!  Yay!
AND NOW FOR THE TREATS!
One treat was that I got to sing the National Anthem at one of the USU volleyball games.  Brylee came with me and we got a pic with Big Blue!  GO AGGIES!
Then it was Ayva's birthday.  Face painting!  So fun!
Another treat was the Pumpkin Walk!
It was so fun for all of us!

Brylee Potter
And a VERY SAD Brysen Potter.  Look at that face
Brylee was all practiced up for Halloween after this one!
In the morning Brysen was a monkey
Brylee was Snow White.  Her friend James was Batman.  These 2 had so much fun all day!
Brysen, Ruby and Lincoln.  Halloween Babies!  Ruby is 2 weeks older than Brysen and Lincoln (who were born on the same day!)
Brysen and James' little brother Lincoln also had tons of fun playing on Halloween!
And finally.  My favorite treat!  Meet Nesse.  Our newest family member.  We will miss our Titan, but this is an awesome replacement if ya ask me!

Brylee's Birthday is this week.  I can't believe she's 3 already!  Pictures to come!

New and Exciting Things!

Well, it's time for my monthly blog update!  Lots of new and exciting things to report this month.

Braden still loves his job and loves not going to school anymore!  I can't believe it's almost been a year at Conservice already!  Way to go babe!  I am still training at the Sports Academy and teaching 6 classes a week.  I love my job and I love that I only work 10 hours a week!
Brysen has 2 teeth, sits up like a champ, eats EVERYTHING as fast as he can, is on the brink of crawling and is still happy as can be.

Brylee is getting taller and smarter every day.  She loves to play with her friends, especially Adee, the 3 year old who lives across the street.  Every afternoon they play.  Every other day at our house, every other day at their house.  It's the best set up ever!  We are going to miss them!  She also started soccer this month!  She loves to run and kick and cheer and play with the kids, but she is not aggressive and gets very upset when the other kids bump her.  It's so funny!
First day at soccer... world's largest kid shirt.
Don't worry, I sewed her shirt so it fit much better for the next game. :)
She really likes the stretching portion.  She pays very good attention during all the warm ups.  Imagine that, a 2 year old who's attention span only lasts for the warm up.

This was how the first game went.  I'm not altogether sure she new there even was a ball!  It was so funny!

This was the 4th game.  She has gotten so much better since the first game!
Brylee also ran her first 2 mile race.  It was littered with 12 giant inflatable slides/obstacle courses.  It was so fun!  She and I wore tutus.  There were a few kitty cats and batman on our team!  Thanks Jim and Holly for bringing the gang!  It was a blast!
WEEEEEEEEEEE! 1 of 12 parts to the great inflatable 2 mile race!  Join us next year.  We are SO doing it again.

Here's some family photos we just had taken.  Vote for your favorite of the 4 family ones and your favorite of the 3 photos of the 2 of them on their bellies facing each other.  I can't decide which ones to print!

Is this not the exact same face on 2 bodies?!
You talkin to me?!

Smoochie smoochie!

And now for the moment you've all been waiting for... the big reveal!  WE ARE MOVING ON NOVEMBER 28TH TO RICHMOND UTAH!  Here's our new home.
Here she is!  Don't mind the ladder or the AWFUL tree blocking half the house.  Braden informed me today that was the first thing to go :)  And yes, that is in fact the world's steepest driveway.  It's 5 bedrooms, 4 baths on a half acre.
Our new patio and sandbox
And our awesome backyard!  (not a great photo.  way cooler in person)
And here's the BEAUTIFUL view from our front porch and our back yard (the highest tier of our yard looks over the height of the house so you see the view from there too).  Don't be jealous.

We are hoping to have our lives put back together sometime in Dec so we can throw a house warming/x-mas party... but we'll have to see about that!  Might end up being a Valentines Day party :)

MOVING SALE!

Dear House, it's been fun, but now it's time to start saying our goodbyes... one piece at a time.

Our little Canyon Rd house is nearing its end and we are selling everything... I mean everything, including the kitchen sink.  Have you ever read the Dr. Seuss book In a people house?  Well that's basically a description of what we're selling!  The house will be torn down sometime next year so if you need anything for your home, come take it from ours!  We've got appliances, light fixtures, ceiling fans, doors, sinks, shelving (lots of shelving), a wood burning fireplace, carpet, walls, even toilets, and more.  On top of that, we are getting rid of a BUNCH of other stuff like clothes, kids toys, furniture, yard stuff, home decor, bicycles, motorcycles, a pond... the list goes on and on.  Some of it obviously we can't sell until we are moving out, but you can put your name on it if you want!  Browse through the photos and list below and see if you see anything you want.  Some will have prices listed, but most are name your price.  If you want it, you can probably have it.  We just need to downsize... a lot and soon.

Every summer my whole life, I have felt like it is way too short and goes way too fast... this summer, it has NOT been the case.  Since we're not students anymore, the fall season is no longer daunting, but the real reason is because WE WANT OUT OF OUR HOUSE!  The time cannot go fast enough, and December cannot be here soon enough.  Everyday is like a week and every week like an ETERNITY!

For those of you who don't know, the City of Logan is tearing our house down next year, so we are moving out in December.  When you know your house is going to be torn down, there is little reason for you to try to keep it up!  Our yard is dead, our home has some issues that won't be resolved, and our renters are THE WORST!  Our house is a duplex and we rent half of it to college boys.  Loud, messy college boys.  Having a rental unit is great for the money and it was a spectacular investment while we were in school... but I'm a big girl now and I want my OWN HOUSE!  I've shared a house with someone else my entire life... I deserve my own house right?

So, thus drags on the long long torturous months before we can move into our new home.  We are hoping to buy a short sale in Wellsville, but for any of you who have experienced it, the short sale process is grueling.  In the end I hope it works out to get this house in Nov. or Dec. because it truly is the perfect house.  We love everything about it.  Keep your fingers crossed for us!

In the past few (very long) weeks, we have had some good times!  Brylee learned how to use a food processor to grate cheese... it was so fun!
And we went to the zoo with cousins!  It rained pretty hard while we were there and I didn't want t ruin my camera, so you only get pics of the outside fence.  As far as going to the zoo on a rainy day, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  The animals were all up and walking around instead of just sleeping.  It was way cool.  I had the most fun of anyone there for sure!
There is a crocodile behind those cute kids, I promise!
Brysen learned how to eat real food.  He's a boy alright!  He loves that food!  It's almost hard to get him to drink milk now cuz he has tasted the goods :)
Bry and Bry are still besties.  Brylee is a really great big sister and always takes great care of her brother.
Fun games we play... I wonder who likes this more?
Then we went to bear lake last Saturday.  Just went for a few hours and came home... it was a blast!  We should really do that every weekend!  It's only 45 minutes away!  Brylee and Daddy made a Shellie in the sand (we watched Turtle tail the night before).
Brylee had so much fun playing in the sand...

And well, Brysen was less impressed.  He snoozed on a camp chair for most of the trip.

This summer may be long, it is so fun.  I love my little family!
